Aircon Gas Top-up in Singapore: When You Need It and What It Costs
Does your aircon need a gas top-up? Learn the signs of low refrigerant, why the price depends on PSI, and why a top-up costs $50–$120 in Singapore.

Refrigerant ("gas") is what carries heat out of your room. An aircon doesn't use it up like fuel – but small leaks over the years can lower the level until cooling suffers.
Signs your aircon may be low on gas
- Air feels cool but not cold, even after cleaning.
- Ice or frost on the indoor coil or the copper pipes outside.
- The outdoor unit runs non-stop.
- Water leaking after the aircon has been running a while (melting ice).
Why the price depends on the PSI level
Our technician connects a pressure gauge to the outdoor unit and reads the pressure in PSI. The lower the pressure, the more refrigerant is needed to bring it back to the correct level. That's why a gas top-up costs $50 – $120 – you pay for what your unit actually needs, confirmed before we start.
Gas top-up or repair?
If your aircon needs gas again within a few months, there is a leak that should be found and fixed – topping up repeatedly only wastes money. Our technician will check the joints and pipes and tell you if a repair is better value.
Clean first
A dirty coil can feel exactly like low gas. If your aircon hasn't been serviced recently, a chemical wash may fix the problem without any gas at all. We'll always check before we top up.
